Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Teaser Posted on Twitter by Accident

We have heard multiple rumours and reports over the past few months regarding a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake in the works at Virtuous. However, while these were only rumours up to this point, it seems the game is actually happening and we have confirmation of it too. Over the weekend, Virtuous accidently posted a teaser for the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake on Twitter before taking removing it.

The tweet included a closer look at some of the game’s environments along with a string of morse code that spelt out the date 8 December. For those who don’t know, 8 December is also the date on which The Game Awards will debut. It is a no-brainer to expect a full announcement at the show.

The deleted video also included some clips from this Instagram post below. The opening scene where you see the forest and the road was in the Tweet. It seems that Virtuous has actually shared real Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake footage already but no one knew it was related to the game.

To make things even more interesting, the video also shows off an art book for Metal Gear Solid in one of the clips. There’s no doubt the game is real.

According to previous reports, the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake has been in development since 2018 and is being built on Unreal Engine 5. The game will feature 4K graphics and a new destruction engine. Stay tuned to The Game Awards on 8 December to see the full reveal. We don’t know what platforms the game will release on at this time.
