Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Remake Gameplay Xbox Games Showcase

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Debuts New Gameplay at Xbox Showcase

Konami recently debuted a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming remake of the classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake, now officially titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The gameplay gave us our first glimpse of the remake’s impressive stealth combat, updated visuals and faithful retelling of the original game made by Hideo Kojima.

The gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater gave us a good look at how stealth will work in the jungle terrain, with Naked Snake taking out enemies stealthily using a number of tactics. Furthermore, this is a much younger Snake before he picked up the mantle of Big Boss so we’ll get to relive the classic tale of the protagonist’s origins.

The official description for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater reads:

“Discover the origin story of iconic military operative Snake and begin to unravel the plot of the legendary METAL GEAR series. METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER brings unprecedented new graphics, immersive stealth action gameplay and sounds to its riveting story as players once again return to the world of METAL GEAR. Rival nations are secretly developing weapons that could threaten the future of mankind. Deep in the jungle, an elite soldier must combine stealth with survival to infiltrate the enemy and stop a weapon of mass destruction from triggering the largest full-scale war the world has ever seen.”

Unfortunately, the new gameplay wasn’t accompanied by a release date but it’s good to know that it’s shaping up to be a largely faithful remake and hopefully it won’t change too much of what made the original so legendary in the first place.
