Microsoft Dates Xbox Series X First Party Showcase For 23 July

Microsoft will hold its Xbox Series X games event on 23 July 2020 kicking off at 18:00 SAT / 9am PT / 12pm ET. The company is planning on showing off games made by its Xbox Game Studio including Halo Infinite. 343 Industries began teasing an announcement a few weeks ago revealing that The Banished antagonists are returning.

While we have no other confirmed first-party games at this time, reports claim the event will play host to a new Fable game too. Microsoft recently created a Fable placeholder Twitter account. Furthermore, registered domains popped up with “intent to use”. The company also recently extended its Fable trademark to cover USB chargers, portable speakers, headphones and more. A Fable Xbox Series X game is all but confirmed at this stage.

We will also get a glimpse at Hellblade 2 which was teased during the Xbox Series X unveiling last year. The developer, Ninja Theory is now owned by Microsoft. Expect a new Forza game reveal too as Microsoft cannot go one year without releasing one.

If anything, this event will be the one to watch when it comes to the first-part games coming to the Xbox Series X. Will we get a release date and pricing? There is a very low chance of it happening. This stream will play host to the games. Microsoft will most likely share launch plans at a later date.
