Microsoft has purchased Bethesda for a whopping $7.5 billion. The company announced that the company behind games such as The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, DOOM, Dishonored, Quake and Starfield is now part of Team Xbox.
Bethesda Game Studios includes the following developers;
- id Software
- Zenimax Online
- Arkane Studios
- Machine Games
- Tango Gameworks
- Alpha Dog Games
- Round House Studios
The company announced the acquisition on the Xbox News blog saying;
Vice President of Bethesda Softworks, Pete Hines commented on the acquisition saying;
By the sound of things, all currently-developed games will still release on all gaming platforms as planned. However, future titles may be different. Perhaps we will see Fallout 5 exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem?
