Microsoft has confirmed that the latest batch of Surface Pro devices including the 11th and 7th Edition models, which were announced back in May will be launched in South Africa. The new products all come with Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors including X Elite and X Plus chips. This means these devices include Copilot Plus certification for AI tasks and workflows.
The range launching in South Africa includes the Microsoft Surface Pro 11th Edition Copilot PC and Microsoft Surface Pro 7th Edition Copilot PC. Both models feature different specs. The 11th Edition is a high-end unit that includes an OLED display option and IPS panel at both 13 inches. The device includes both Snapdragon X Elite and X Pro configurations and an all-day battery. Microsoft says the Surface Pro 11th Edition boasts 90% faster performance than the Surface Pro 9. The 7th Edition comes in both a 13-inch and 15-inch display with Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus options.
South Africans can now purchase both devices from participating retailers. The Microsoft Surface Pro 11th Edition retails from R29,999 and the 7th Edition retails from R26,999. Keep in mind that various configurations will cost different prices.
