If you’re about to step into an online meeting and forgot to fix ya face, you can now apply AI makeup to it. This is thanks to the new Maybelline AI-powered makeup filter headed to Microsoft Teams Enterprise today.
The filters work similarly to other social media AI-powered effects. If you have ever used TikTok’s Bold Glamour feature, you’ll know that a simple press of a button turns your face into a glamour-made-up version which is usually a far cry from what you look like during the day.

While social media apps usually rely on AI or simple skins for this, Microsoft has teamed up with makeup giant Maybelline to create 12 specific virtual makeup sets inspired by the brand’s actual products.
The company says that you’ll be able to select a handful of blurring effects and digital makeup colour options. The presets are designed to replicate Maybelline products as if you were wearing the makeup already.
If you have been to a store or used an app where brands have the “try-on” experience, this is very similar. You can try on the makeup during meetings and it will stay on for your call.
Maybelline also says that the 12 filters have been designed in collaboration with the Geena Davis Institute. The organization is focused on improving inclusion and diversity within media. The makeup filters are designed for all types of people and genders. They can be worn by a “broad and diverse population”.
“Whether you are working in-person or virtually, feeling good about yourself can help put your best foot forward. That’s why we partnered with Microsoft Teams to develop virtual makeup looks — now even on the busiest day, you can put makeup on with just a click.”
Maybelline says the feature is already rolling out to Microsoft Teams Enterprise users today. You’ll be able to find the filters under “Video Effects” within the team’s meeting setting.
