Microsoft xCloud to Launch in 2020 Including PS4 Controller Support, Now Has 50+ Games

The new Microsoft xCloud gaming service was fully revealed last night during the X019 showcase. Microsoft has been planning a rollout of the service for some time now and not only announced that it will include PS4 controller support in the form of DualShock 4 controller, but also the service will be rolling out in early 2020 and include a massive list of games (looks at Google Stadia).

Chances of the service launching in SA when it rolls out are quite slim right now but things could change with the launch of the Azure servers which have been online for months already.

Microsoft claims the prototype xCloud app is up and running and it’s playing well. They are also working with Apple to release it on iOS too. The company has been testing the service already for some time now but will be adding over 50 games to the service from today for those testing the app.

The service will launch as a paid subscription but right now it is running as a free preview. Microsoft plans on combining the Xbox Games Pass offering with the xCloud service next year too further adding to the overall value for money.
