Besides Millie making her debut as Enola, Netflix is also reinventing the formula with Henry Cavill playing Sherlock Holmes. However, Henry is a supporting role in the upcoming film. He joins the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr. and Ian McKellen all having have played the part.
The movie is set in 1884. Enola wakes up on her 16th birthday to discover that her mother, played by Helena Bonham Carter has disappeared. Enola sets off to find her but ends up in the middle of her own mystery. She now needs to uncover a conspiracy that threatens to set back the course of history.
Those of you who don’t know, Enola is not a new character. She is actually based on the author Nancy Springer’s novel “Enola Holmes Mysteries“.
