MODE is probably one of my favourite retailers in SA. You can grab a whole range of gaming and pop culture items from them like speakers, shirts, hoodies, caps, beanies etc. The best news is that the MODE is now expanding its gaming range even more.
Not only is the retailer stocking consoles, hardware and digital codes, but they are also selling some cool new gaming shirts and items. You can even grab some bundled items together such as 3 months of PlayStation Plus and PlayStation legacy tee.
The new clothing range adds further value to the MODE lineup but those who are looking for simple branded tees will especially enjoy the latest range. The PlayStation Heritage Tee, for example, boasts the iconic PlayStation logo before Sony went and killed it by making it white. This shirt is also an official PlayStation branded item so the quality is the best around.
The same goes for the Call of Duty legacy shirt which includes the simple Call of Duty logo and doesn’t necessarily tie in to any specific game. This sort of shirt is great for those who are simply fans of the series and are worried about walking around with a dated game logo on their chest.
All of MODE’s items are 100% officially licensed and for R299 a shirt, that isn’t too bad of an asking price. Fortnite nutters might also enjoy the new range of shirts and caps. There are also some cool Minecraft items available.
MODE also boasts a huge range of great accessories so while you’re buying a shirt or two, you can hit that R450 free delivery threshold by adding a keychain or AirPods case to your cart. Of course, these items are all as geek as possible.
Those of you who are looking for gaming hardware can also check out their console bundles. You can pick up an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S and add a bit more cash into the sale to get discounted caps and even an Xbox Wireless Headset. You can also get MODE gift cards which you can use on a later purchase. Maybe you’re looking for a PlayStation Network or Xbox Live voucher? MODE also stocks these digital codes.
It is always great to see retailers embracing video games and the approach MODE has taken puts them at the forefront of all the “cool things” while also making the store approachable for all sorts of people in South Africa. Be sure to check out the store from time to time by visiting modestore.co.za. MODE also has physical stores around South Africa. There’s one in Fourways Mall and one in Canal Walk. You can buy products directly at these stores or even order stuff to get shipped to you from the sales reps available.
