Monster Hunter Wilds Early 2025 Release Capcom

Monster Hunter Wilds Could Be Aiming For Early 2025 Release

Monster Hunter Wilds, the highly anticipated sixth mainline entry in the Monster Hunter series, is still without a release date apart from its vague 2025 window. However, some new marketing material from Capcom suggests that the game could be aiming for a very early release in 2025, possibly January or February if previous marketing patterns are any indication.

Capcom recently released three new videos for Monster Hunter Wilds on its official YouTube channel, each showing off aspects of the upcoming game. Out of the three videos, the most significant is the weapon tutorial video for the Great Sword which shows the weapon in action against deadly beasts.

This is important because Monster Hunter World also began its marketing push around six months before the game’s release. Specifically, it started uploading weapon tutorial videos around the same time frame. This suggests that Monster Hunter Wilds might also be six months away. If we go by Capcom’s usual release schedule, it’s safe to assume that Wilds will arrive in January or February of next year.

Seeing as though the early 2025 calendar window isn’t filled by any substantial Capcom releases, this could very easily be taken by Monster Hunter Wilds. The game has already received a couple of trailers offering closer looks at the world, exploration, some light combat and traversal, though no new or returning monsters have been shown off in any official capacity yet (beyond smaller and still quite threatening foes, at least).

There’s some good news for players on multiple platforms: Monster Hunter Wilds will get crossplay at launch. This will allow users across PlayStation, Xbox and PC to play and hunt together regardless of platform choice. It has been a highly requested feature for the franchise since World and it looks like Capcom is making good on its promise.

Monster Hunter Wilds is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
