What’s included in The Monster Hunter Wilds Beta?

Capcom says the Monster Hunter Wilds beta will include two missions and the full character creation mode. The beta will also include a slice of the story content which will lead into the playable missions.

Players will be able to create their characters and design their Palico companions. Both of these can be edited and redesigned multiple times during the test. So once you create your character, you’re not locked into the look.

The beta will then take players through the opening cutscene for the game and the tutorial mission. This mission will see players hunt down the Chatacabra.

Following this mission, players will then be dropped into an open map where they can freely explore the area while tracking down an Alpha Doshaguma. They can ride their Seikret mount and switch between two different weapons.

Players will also be able to repeat these missions as much as they like. They can also invite friends to hunt with them and join public lobbies. The beta also includes cross-play.

Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Rewards and Progress

Players who participate in the beta will be able to transfer their created character over to the main game when it launches in 2025. No other progress will carry over.

There are also rewards for playing the Monster Hunter Wilds beta. If your account and save are still on the platform, you’ll unlock the following rewards:

  • Felyne Pendant
