Monster Hunter Wilds Second Open Beta Arkveld Flagship Monster

Monster Hunter Wilds Second Open Beta Lets You Hunt Flagship Monster Arkveld

Capcom has revealed new information regarding the upcoming second open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, including the fact that you’ll not only be able to hunt a classic monster from the franchise’s history but also the game’s flagship monster, Arkveld. Other features coming to the beta include Private Lobbies and an Online Single Player mode.

When Capcom first announced the second open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed that players will be able to experience everything from the first beta again in addition to some new monsters. Specifically, players will be able to hunt a Gypceros, a classic monster that was around since the very first Monster Hunter game on PS2. If players really want to test out their skill, Capcom has also confirmed that Arkveld, the flagship monster for Wilds, can be hunted in the second beta through an advanced quest.

Elsewhere, Capcom also revealed that Private Lobbies will be available in the second open beta test. This will allow friends to play together without the possibility of being interrupted or joined by random players online. The Online Single Player mode will let players enjoy the beta without joining a lobby. While they won’t be able to see other players in their Base Camp and hub area, they can simply shoot up an SOS flare for multiplayer if they need help from other players.

Players will be able to transfer their save data from the first open beta over to this one, though no data will be carried over to the full release. Players can access the beta at these dates and times:

  • Thursday, February 6 at 7pm PT / 5am CAT to Sunday, February 9 at 6:59pm PT / 4:59am CAT
  • Thursday, February 13 at 7pm PT / 5am CAT to Sunday, February 16 at 6:59pm PT / 4:59am CAT
