Sony Pictures has rescheduled its upcoming movie release lineup including the Uncharted movie, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Morbius due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The only two films still on track for its 2020 release are Venom 2 and Monster Hunter.

The studio had no choice but to delay its upcoming slate of films due to production delays amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The new movie release dates are as follows;
- Venom 2 – 2 October 2020
- Greyhound – TBD
- Monster Hunter – 4 September 2020
- Uncharted movie – 8 October 2021
- Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway – 15 January 2021
- Ghostbusters: Afterlife – 5 March 2021
- Morbius – 19 March 2021
- Untitled Sony and Marvel film – TBD
Right now it seems that we will never get to watch the Uncharted movie which out of all these films has suffered the most delays. The movie was originally scheduled for a 2019 release but since lost six directors. Last month, the pre-production finally wrapped up with Antonio Banderas and Venom director Reuben Fleischer joining the project. The movie is on hold for now.
Sony Pictures is not the only company suffering from production delays. Netflix also announced that its much-anticipated Stranger Things 4 and The Witcher Season 2 was put on hold during the global pandemic.
