Steam has been a culprit of Returnal PC port leaks for some weeks now. Two weeks ago, users spotted references to Returnal on the database including files named “Helios”. For those who don’t know, Helios is the name of Selen’s ship in Returnal and a major plot point. However, over the course of the past few days, more references to Returnal’s arrival on PC have leaked.
The Steam database was reportedly updated with a new codename “Oregon”. In addition, users spotted more game builds on the server including localisation strings named Atropos, Tower of Sisyphus, Returning and In Helios.

There’s no doubt that these localisation strings belong to Returnal as Atropos is the planet the game is set on, the Tower of Sisyphus was the free endless dungeon DLC added to Returnal in May and Helios once again refers to Selen’s ship.
According to VGC, users have even sent through footage of Returnal running on PC. Perhaps there’s a playtest going on at the moment that is under embargo. When Sony hosted its State f Play last month, many were led to believe that the Returnal PC port was set to be announced at the show. However, that wasn’t the case.
By the sound of things, unlike the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection which was released in January for PS5 and in October for PC, Returnal might just see an announcement and release very soon after its confirmation. This is clear by the game’s constant build updates and the fact that testers are currently running through these builds.
People are also led to believe that another PlayStation Studios game, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is also set to launch on PC soon too. This is after users spotted file references to the game. Sony has not commented on any of these leaks.
