Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack DLC Schedule NetherRealm Studios

Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack DLC Schedule Revealed

Developer NetherRealm Studios has revealed the Kombat Pack DLC schedule for its latest fighting game, Mortal Kombat 1. Yesterday, we reported on the reveal of Invincible‘s Omni-Man who will be the first guest character to appear from the Kombat Pack this November. We now know when we can expect the rest of the fighters to arrive next year, including some unexpected new Kameos.

As reported by Nintendo Life, Mortal Kombat 1 will receive “early access” Omni-Man this November as part of the Kombat Pack DLC. Thereafter, Quan Chi and Peacemaker are expected to arrive in Winter 2023/2024. Ermac and Homelander are aiming for a Spring 2024 release while Takeda will drop sometime in Summer 2024.

Fans can expect a bit more out of the Kombat Pack as well. The press release also mentions that Tremor will arrive as a Kameo fighter in November this year, followed by other Kameos including Ferra, Khameleon, Mavado and (mild spoiler warning) Janet Cage, the parallel timeline version of Johnny Cage who appears towards the end of Mortal Kombat 1‘s main story. Apart from Tremor, the release dates of the other Kameo fighters have yet to be announced.

Players can purchase the Kombat Pack DLC separately for $40 or R719. Those who already purchased the Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 will receive the DLC as part of the package.

As for other potential guest characters, Mortal Kombat series co-creator Ed Boon has talked a bit about wanting to include John Wick (played by Keanu Reeves) in the franchise, though it may or may not happen. Hidden dialogue files unearthed by dataminers also revealed that NetherRealm possibly plans on adding Scream‘s Ghostface to the roster as DLC at some point.

Mortal Kombat 1 is now available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
