Mortal Kombat 1 Takeda Release Date Gameplay

Mortal Kombat 1 Sets Release Date For Takeda DLC

The final DLC character for Mortal Kombat 1‘s Kombat Pack 1, Takeda Takahashi, has been given a release date by NetherRealm Studios and it’s right around the corner. Mortal Kombat 1 fans won’t have to wait much longer as Takeda arrives in the game on 23 July 2024 for consoles and PC.

Takeda Takahashi made his debut in Mortal Kombat X. The son of Kenshi and apprentice of Scorpion, he is known for using his chain whips in combat to string devastating wide-sweeping combos. He only made a cameo in Mortal Kombat 11 but it looks like he’s finally returning to the series as a full-fledged fighter in Mortal Kombat 1. Alongside the release date announcement of 23 July for the character, NetherRealm Studios also released some new gameplay showing off his new moves in the game.

Takeda is an extremely popular character in the Mortal Kombat franchise due to his relatively easy learning curve compared to other fighters. If keeping opponents at bay while unleashing a flurry of swipes with chain whips is your gameplay preference, then you might really like what Takeda has to offer.

Kombat Pack 1 is about to wrap up and so far, the DLC roster has been pretty well-received online. New fighters such as Homelander from The Boys, Omni-Man from Invincible, Peacemaker, Ermac and Quan-Chi have joined the action.

NetherRealm Studios will likely begin assembling the next Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 1 players. Thanks to a major leak last month, all six characters from Kombat Pack 2 were revealed: Ghostface from the Scream franchise, Cyrax, Sektor, Noob Saibot, Conan the Barbarian and the T-1000 from the Terminator franchise. Ghostface has been one of the oldest rumoured characters to appear in the fighting game series and it seems like he might be available next season.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. Watch the Takeda gameplay trailer below along with the release date:
