Mortal Kombat 11 Skins

Mortal Kombat 11 Skins Will Cost R125,000 if You Buy Every Single One

Mortal Kombat 11 is out in the wild and now that it is publically available, the microtransaction store is live too which means WB. Games is raking in the dough as they always do with all their releases. It also means that the Mortal Kombat 11 skins are also available for purchase and they will ruin your wallet if you decide to buy them all.

Update

According to Ed Boon, the “vast majority” of MK11 skins cannot be purchased. Upon inspection, both rotations of skins available on the store this morning were available for purchase so it is yet to be seen which skins will not be purchasable. These skins on the store are those players can earn in the Krypt, Towers of Time and more It remains to be seen how many skins will be purchaseable with Time Krystals, as this is just the start of the store rotation. We doubt WB Games will reveal just how many are only available without purchase.

Over on Reddit, user AccomplishedPoet8 put the numbers together and according to the math, it will cost you $6,440 (R92831,63) in real money to buy every Mortal Kombat 11 skin available. But our in-game price for the DLC is a little more expensive coming in at R89 for 500 Time Krystals which means the price is even higher.

Four Mortal Kombat 11 skins can be unlocked by playing through the character tutorials, story and basic towers which leaves 56 skins per character to unlock in the game. You could play the game, like any normal person to unlock them but 500 Time Krystals take roughly four in-game hours to earn.

Purchasing Time Krystals is the fastest way to obtain them as you need to play through the game to earn them at a snail’s pace. So there are 56 skins to unlock per character and each of them costs 500 Krystals. There are also 25 characters including the pre-order bonus and one unlockable one.

Doing the maths (25x56xR89) reveals that it will set you back R124,600 to purchase all the available skins for all the playable characters in the game. Keep in mind that this is excluding any other cosmetics items which are also at a premium price tag too.

If you don’t want to buy them you can earn them. Roughly four hours of game time rewards enough to buy one skin so you are looking at around 4000 hours of play time to have it all.
