While the wait continues for the next Mortal Kombat game from NetherRealm Studios, is looks like a 30th anniversary package is in the works. According to a leaked listing on Amazon UK, the Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary package includes Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate as well as a steelbook edition of the 2021 Mortal Kombat film.
Titled Mortal Kombat: The 30th Anniversary Ultimate Bundle, the package comes with Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and an exclusive steelbook edition of the 2021 live-action Mortal Kombat film in 4K Ultra HD. The release will likely align with the series’ 30th anniversary on 8 October.

Fans hoping for something more for the beloved fighting franchise’s 30th birthday might be a little disappointed if this leak turns out to be true. Another re-release of Mortal Kombat 11 is strange considering that most fans who wanted to play the game have already bought one of its editions. The addition of the steelbook cover for the 2021 film is great, but that remains yet another highly contentious live-action video game adaptation.
Strangely, it hasn’t been delisted by Amazon yet at the time of writing, meaning it was probably intentional. It’s also worth noting that it’s currently only listed on Amazon UK, so it’s unclear if this specific bundle will be heading to North America and other shores.
Check out the bundle below:
The product is listed to release on 26 September 2022 at a price point of £29.99. It’s hard to imagine which crowd this bundle will appeal to as the game’s fans already own Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and those who enjoyed the 2021 live-action film also presumably own it, either digitally or physically. As mentioned, the steelbook is a nice touch and it might compel some to purchase the bundle, but it’s not exactly a must-buy.
Mortal Kombat 12 is rumoured to be in development at NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros Games.
