Mortal Kombat Legends Snow Blind First Trailer Kenshi

Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind First Trailer Released

The first trailer for the upcoming animated movie Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind is here and it looks like fan-favourite fighter Kenshi is the main focus of the story this time. Warner Bros Animation announced the new feature-length movie showing a young Kenshi training to fight an older and more ruthless Kano.

Snow Blind marks the third Mortal Kombat Legends animated feature next to Scorpion’s Revenge and Battle of the Realms, with the latter exclusively focusing on Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion while the latter revolved around the entire cast of characters. This time, Warner Bros is taking it back to the drawing board and giving the spotlight to a single character, showing Kenshi’s origins story with a new spin on it.

The plot seems to follow Kano’s forces attacking Kenshi’s village. To get revenge, Kenshi begins some extensive training to become the character we all know and love from the video games – including the blindness and telekinesis.

In related news, series co-creator Ed Boon recently stated that Mortal Kombat 12 would not be present at Evo 2022. While we did get announcements for the next Tekken and a new Fatal Fury game, the next chapter of the bloody fighter was absent from the reveals. Fans speculate that Boon might be saving the announcement for The Game Awards, which is where Mortal Kombat 11 was revealed back in 2018.

According to previous reports, Mortal Kombat 12 is said to be a “legacy” title instead of a proper mainline game with a large roster of characters to rival Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. How accurate these reports are is anyone’s guess, but we won’t have to wait long for a reveal as NetherRealm Studios’ last game released in 2019, giving them enough time to work on a new fighter.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind arrives on digital and Blu-Ray later this year. Check out the new trailer below.
