After leaks surfaced of the new Motorola Razr 2019 flip phone, everyone could not wait to see the iconic 2004 phone return in style and it did just that. Motorola revealed the new Razr 2019 flip phone that features an iconic classic design with modern tech making it one of the most futuristic phones on the market, also the most expensive too.

The Motorola Razr 2019 has one giant folding OLED display inside of the fold but instead of a crease developing over time like the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the Razr screen does not fold completely flat and leaves a large space around the display’s hinge. This means that when the device folds, the display actually lifts up and forms a curve to keep it from fully folding in half. It all happens naturally as you fold and open the display.
The device features a 6.2-inch 2142×876 display on the inside and on the outside, just like the classic device, it also has a 2.7-inch 800×600 display. The outside display is used to check incoming calls and notifications. Of course, the Motorola Razr 2019 runs Android but it has been built to make use of the hardware and buttons. The quick message button, which was found on the original device, works the same and opens a text app. There is also a retro skin which you can use that turns the device into an old-school Razr phone with the buttons at the bottom and the display on top.
The Motorola Razr 2019 packs a Snapdragon 710 and the base model comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Snapdragon 710 is not the best chipset on the market, but with the bloated cost of $1,500, rather take a slower CPU to help bring down the crazy cost. As for the cameras, the device has two; 16MP and a 5 MP front-facing sensor.
Motorola revealed the new Razr 2019 will open up for pre-order on 26 December 2019 in the US. No release date or pricing for other regions has been confirmed as of yet.
