Users have spotted a strange listing called ‘The Red Door’ on the Xbox One Store. The listing is from Activision and shows off a red keyhole peering into a red area with a giant maze. Previously, The Red Door appeared on the PS4 with the codename COD2020INTALPHA1 that suggest this image could be related to Call of Duty 2020. However, by the look of things, it could be zombie related?

The Red Door listing reads;
[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#F50B00″ class=”” size=”21″]”There is more than one truth. If you go looking for answers, be ready to question everything and accept that nothing will ever be the same. The Red Door awaits, do you dare step through it?”[/perfectpullquote]
Previous rumours and leaks including the first appearance of The Red Door suggest it is related to this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops. According to reports, Call of Duty 2020 will be set in the Cold War. However, this new leak on the Xbox One Store seems to be from a database website and is just a codename for whatever project Activision is working on.
This means The Red Door, once downloaded will give you access to the alpha of the game. Of course, users cannot just download it as the build is most likely being used by Activision to test the game out remotely during the pandemic.
It is almost the end of July and we have not seen or heard anything about Call of Duty 2020. Usually, Activision has already announced the game by now. With the COVID-19 pandemic, things could be a little late this year. I have a feeling that this is the first of many leaks to arrive before the official announcement takes places sometime in the next few months. Whatever Activision is planning, there’s no rush at all. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is still going strong with new updates and content on a regular basis. So much so that the game has become too big for consoles.
