2K Games have struck again. Users have reported unskippable ads showing up in NBA 2K21 during loading screens. The adverts have started appearing on the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game. Stevivor spotted the ad which was advertising the Oculus Quest 2.

The unskippable NBA 2K21 ad showed up in-between the pre-game video for the MyTeam Season 2. According to the report, the game does not load until the next area unless the ad runs its course. This means that even though the loading has completed, users will still need to sit and watch the video. According to the in-game snippet which you can watch down below, the ad is around 15 seconds long.
Last month, EA Games tried to pull the same stunt with UFC 4 whereas adverts started to appear during replay videos. EA quickly removed the feature after mass backlash from users saying;

2K Games has yet to comment on the current unskippable ads in NBA 2K21. However, given how this is not the first time it has happened, they will most likely share an update soon.
