Neon White has been listed on the New Zealand PlayStation Store, confirming that it will be coming to PS4 and PS5. The game originally released earlier this year for Nintendo Switch and PC, though it looks like that timed exclusivity is breaking soon. Developer Angel Matrix and publisher Annapurna Interactive haven’t mentioned anything yet about a PlayStation version.
Neon White released in June 2022 and received critical acclaim upon release. The game’s unique blend of first-person shooting and puzzle-platforming gained it a lot of attention, so much so that it’s up for a few nominations at The Game Awards this year including Best Indie Game, Best Debut Indie Game and Best Action Game. Check out the full list of nominations here.
Gematsu reports that Neon White has been listed on the PlayStation Store in New Zealand, simply showing a “Release date to be determined” label. Fans believe that an official announcement on its PlayStation release date will be made at The Game Awards next week, which lines up with the timing of the listing.
The official description for Neon White provided on the PlayStation Store is as follows:
Neon White is a lightning fast first-person action game about exterminating demons in Heaven. You are White, an assassin handpicked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a chance to live permanently in Heaven. The other assassins seem familiar, though… did you know them in a past life?
- You play as Neon White, an assassin plucked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a shot at redemption.
- Collect “Soul Cards” to attack your foes or discard them to use unique movement abilities.
- Compete for the best times by cleverly combining cards to discover massive shortcuts.
- Uncover Heaven’s mysteries by getting to know the other assassins… did you know them in a past life?
