Netflix has announced the five key cast members for the upcoming show based on the popular One Piece manga and anime series. The streaming giant revealed, in specific, the cast members who will play the Straw Hats crew, the main group of characters in the series.
At the moment, the Straw Hats crew for the One Piece anime series include Iñaki Godoy as Luffy; Mackenyu as Zoro; Emily Rudd as Nami; Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp; Taz Skylar as Sanji.

Netflix also shared a note from the One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda in relation to the upcoming show. Oda announced that the One Piece Netflix live-action adaption will include 10 episodes. Oda did not share any more details on them and what users can expect from each episode. However, Oda did comment on the show’s production saying that it is going to take a bit more time to get the show done and ready for release.

While there’s no release date yet, we might get to watch the One Piece live-action in late next year or perhaps early 2023. Take a look at the cast announcement:

This is one of many new shows coming out of Netflix that is adapted from popular anime series. The company is currently working on a Yu Yu Hakusho series to debut in 2023, they are adopting a new Avatar: The Last Airbender for the platform as well as Cowboy Bebop which is set to debut on 19 November.
