Netflix to Host Animated Showcase With Video Game Shows

Netflix has announced a showcase designed to highlight its upcoming animated shows. The showcase is called Netflix Drop 01 and is described as a “virtual showcase celebrating the best of Netflix’s genre animation series”.

The showcase will kick off on 27 September at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 5 pm BST / 18:00 CAT. It is also set to be quite a long showcase. Netflix says it will run for a full 90 minutes and even include three full episodes of the upcoming Castlevania: Nocturne.

Netflix says that between each episode, viewers will get to see “surprise announcements and never-before-seen sneak peek drops from other animated series that fans are most excited about.”

The presentation will also include new looks at Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Sonic Prime Season 3, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, Blue Eye Samurai, Pluto and Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

Of course, the teaser image is full of hints at what we can expect. The Capcom logo is especially a standout here. The lineup doesn’t have any confirmed Capcom content so expect an exciting announcement from that partnership.

We also see the Legendary Entertainment and Crystal Dynamics logo. This is obviously a hint at the Tomb Raider series which was just recently announced. However, Amazon was reportedly working on this.

If you want to watch the full Castlevania: Nocturne, you’ll be able to stream the entire show starting on 28 September.
