Netflix just wrapped up its annual Tudum showcase where the streaming service announced new movies and shows and provided some new information on existing ones. Likely the biggest news to come out of the showcase was the release of the One Piece live-action teaser trailer confirming the show’s release date. We also got the news that Linda Hamilton is joining the cast of Stranger Things 5.

Netflix Tudum 2023
One Piece Trailer
The One Piece live-action series (which has been filmed and produced in Cape Town, will debut on 31 August, The series will launch with eight episodes and follow the Iñaki Godoy across the ocean with his stretchy arm and band of misfits.
Heart of Stone Announced
Heart of Stone is another attempt by Netflix to create its action blockbuster lineup. It stars Gal Gadot, Jarmie Dornan and Alia Bhatt doing all sorts of spy action things. Heart of Stone releases on 11 August.
Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) Joins Stranger Things 5
Netflix announced a new cast member visiting Hawkins in Stranger Things 5. Linda Hamilton, best known for her role as Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise will appear in the show. Little else is known about the upcoming finale series.
Rebel Moon Behind-The-Scenes
Netflix hasn’t shared much about Zack Synder’s new sci-fi film, Rebel Moon. The new behind-the-scenes clip doesn’t do that either but it does let us meet the cast. The film is set to debut on 22 December.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
After years in development, Netflix has shared the first look at the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. We also got a release window of 2024. Sadly, the “first look” here is just a CG trailer with the houses flashing on the screen. The Last Airbender was originally announced back in 2018.
The Witcher Season 3 New Trailer
Netflix released a new trailer/clip for The Witcher Season 3. The first half of the season is releasing later this month on 29 June.
A Bunch of K-Content Showcased
Netflix debuted a sizzle reel for some upcoming Korean drama. This comes as no surprise given the company’s focus on Korean projects. It includes a first look at Sweet Home Season 2.
3 Body Problems Gets Trailer and Release Date
Releasing in January 2024, 3 Body Problems is the much-anticipated adaption of author Cixin Liu’s The Three-Body Problem book. The teaser gives us our first glimpse at the sci-fi based on the trilogy of books. It has been developed by Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss.
The Archies
The Archies is a Bollywood-inspired take on the classic series. Netflix doesn’t have a date for us yet but you can see it in action down below.
Too Hot to Handle Sequel
One of Netflix’s biggest reality shows is getting a sequel. Netflix says it will be available “soon”.
Money Heist Berlin
Money Heist Berlin is the follow-up to the popular Korean series… set in Berlin. It is releasing in December
Squid Games 2
While we still don’t have a release date or any other solid information about Squid Games 2, we know the series will get four new cast members.
Extraction 3 is in The Works
Extraction 2 was just released on Netflix. However, Chris Hemsworth has confirmed that he is working on Extraction 3.

Last but not least, Netflix has shared details on the controversial reality show based on the Squid Game series.
