The highly anticipated Netflix’s The Witcher Season 2 has officially kicked off production in the UK as it begins shooting for its 2021 debut. According to Netflix, the new season will bring with it a load of new characters and cast members to fill new and exciting roles.

Of course, the returning faces include Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Jaskier as the cast make their return for the second season of the show.
New cast members for Netflix’s The Witcher Season 2 include Yasen Atour (Young Wallander) as Coen, Anges Bjorn (Monster) as Vareena, Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders) as Lambert, Thus Ersted Rasmussen (F9) as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl) as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) as Nivellen, and recent graduate Mecia Simson, as Francesca.
The series will be directed by Stephen Surjik (Umbrella Academy) who will direct 201 and 202, Sarah O’Gorman (Cursed) for episodes 203 and 204, Ed Bazalgette (The Last Kingdom) for episodes 205 and 208, and Geeta V. Patel (Meet The Patels) for episodes 206 and 207.
Netflix’s The Witcher season 2 showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich revealed that the reactions of the first season set a high bar for the upcoming second season of the show.
