The upcoming VR game, Alien: Rogue Incursion has gone gold ahead of its launch on 19 December. Chief Product Officer at Survios TQ Jefferson shared the news on the PlayStation Blog. Along with the milestone, the studio dropped new gameplay details for the game and a story trailer.
Alien: Rogue Incursion is an upcoming VR game for PS VR2, Meta Quest and PC VR. According to the story trailer, players take on the role of Zula as she explores a desolate research facility on Purdan. The facility is now overrun by Xenomorphs and players will need to survive the horrors while navigating through the area.
This facility is also known as Castor’s Cradle and according to the trailer, was being used to experiment on Xenomorphs. Like all Alien stories, the Xenomorphs are stronger and smarter and they have escaped and fought back.
Zula plans on taking them down with a kitted-out arsenal of weapons including an M41 Prototype Pulse Rifle, Shotgun, Revolver, and Tactical mods. She also has some gear to help her in the fight which includes a Motion Tracker, Plasma Torch, Health Stims and a Tablet. It is not known how this gear works and how it is tied to the gameplay. We can only assume the Motion Tracker lets her keep tabs on the enemies while she prepares to shoot them down.
Alien: Rogie Incursion is releasing on 19 December across PS VR2, PC VR and Meta Quest. The game is available to pre-order now in two editions. The standard edition and the Deluxe Edition. The more expensive version includes some weapon skins and a digital art book. If you pre-order the game you’ll get access to the Alien: Romulus weapon and armour skin.
