New Call of Duty Ghosts Advanced Warfare Games Leaked

New Call of Duty Ghosts and Advanced Warfare Games Leaked

While we patiently wait for this year’s Call of Duty game to be announced, a new leak has possibly revealed Activision’s plans for the next few Call of Duty games arriving in 2026 and 2027. According to the leak, new Call of Duty Ghosts and Advanced Warfare games are being worked on by regular franchise developers Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.

The leak originates from Twitter/X user Visceral, a dataminer who seems to have a good track record of industry leaks. According to the leaker, Call of Duty 2026 is apparently codenamed “Project Devilwood” which will be a reboot of Ghosts and a prequel to Modern Warfare. It’s being developed by Infinity Ward, which also made 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Secondly, Call of Duty 2027 is reportedly codenamed “Project Anvil” and it’s a new Advanced Warfare title from Sledgehammer Games. This lines up with a 2022 report from What If Gaming which were the first to report on a new Advanced Warfare game, though previously claimed that it would arrive in 2025. Plans could’ve easily changed at Activision.

As with all rumours and leaks, take this with a pinch of salt for now. This year’s Call of Duty title is reportedly a new entry in the Black Ops series. Fans can look forward to a full reveal of the game in a presentation directly after the Xbox Games Showcase this June.

Call of Duty: Ghosts wasn’t very well-received at launch, though it has since gained a cult following over the years. Die-hard fans were left with a cliffhanger ending and no sequel for the past decade. If the latest leak is true, we still won’t get a continuation since this is being labelled a reboot.
