New Death Stranding Trailer “The Drop” Shows a Massive Enemy

We’ve seen quite a lot about the upcoming PS4 exclusive Death Stranding from Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions, but there’s still a lot of mystery surrounding the game, including the types of enemies Sam Porter Bridges will have to face (or run away from) through his journey to reconnect America. Death Stranding is a little over a month away and now, Kojima Productions and Sony have released a new Death Stranding trailer called The Drop.

As the Death Stranding trailer “The Drop” notes, what you are seeing isn’t actual gameplay (you can watch 49 minutes of gameplay here) but it does showcase an enemy we haven’t seen before in the upcoming PS4 exclusive. View the trailer at the bottom of this article.

The trailer starts off with protagonist Sam stumbling to the ground the continuing to run away from some humanoid enemies as he loses some of his cargo. We can see humanoid enemies throwing electrically charged spears at him and then the trailer cuts to a base where Sam collects more cargo and heads off.

This is where things get more interesting, as the ground opens up and breaks apart before a massive enemy appears in the distance. This creature has a human form but it is massive and its strands seem to be damaging the ground. It also doesn’t have a completely human form, as more than half its head is missing and some limbs appear to be longer than others. The way this creature is showcased makes it look like it is some kind of looming entity that will play a big role in the game’s story.

The PS4 exclusive Death Stranding from Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions is set to release on 8 November 2019.
