Epic Games Store Feature

New Epic Games Store Feature Is Now Live

Although the Epic Games Store has way, way fewer games than its competitors, it is still a great digital video game distribution platform. Every PC gamer should probably have a free Epic Games Store account by this point, as it is free and with it, you can grab a free game every two weeks until the end this year. Now, a new Epic Games Store feature has appeared and it is a search bar since the catalogue of games is now big enough to warrant one.

With only a few dozen games on the store, there aren’t even pages but just an infinite scroll feature. Now, there’s finally a need for this new Epic Games Store feature, as there are enough games on the storefront. This might not seem like something huge to most gamers out there, and it probably isn’t. However, it is great to see Epic improving their storefront. Constant improvements are needed to rival the likes of Steam.

Sergey Galyonkin explained that: “We launched with three games, there was no need to enable search” and adds that: “Once we have more games, we’ll add more features, including pages”.

Even with this new Epic Games Store feature, it is still a bit barebones. I, for one, would love to see a user review feature, as well as the ability to sort your library of games with different options, or even a built-in video recording and screenshot feature. With that being said, it is great to see Epic updating their store and I’m sure they will add many more features going forward.
