The new Facebook design is here and best of all, it features a dark mode. The company announced on Friday that new redesign is slowly rolling out worldwide. Soon, everyone will be able to take advantage of the new design and easier-on-the-eyes experience.
The new Facebook dark mode is live but not available everywhere. In order to check if you can change to the new layout following the steps below;
- Click on the down arrow at the top right-hand corner of Facebook
- Click on “Switch to new Facebook”
- Turn dark mode on and off from the same menu
If you don’t see “Switch to new Facebook” under the menu then the layout is not available yet in your region. However, be patient as it will arrive soon.
The new Facebook layout has been in development for over a year now. The company announced the change in last year’s F8 conference. According to the company, the new design is optimized for new devices and allows for faster loading too.
We don’t know when the company plans on bringing its Facebook dark mode design to mobile devices. However, the desktop change is a breath of fresh air.
