If you thought the Fast and Furious series could not get any more ridiculous then the new trailer for Fast and Furious 9 will make you eat your words. The movie has now gone beyond its classic street racing storyline and features lots of action and now there’s even space involved for some reason.

We kinda get the idea here that Vin Diesel and his arch-enemy brother played by John Cena are still trying to sort out their family drama and the latest film will see the dispute blow way out of proportion. Of course, the four-minute trailer also spells it out for us. There will be lots of high-octane action, there will be a fabulous villain named Cipher played by Charlize Theron and there will be less racing and more car chases.

Dying is Easy… Comedy is hard – a Detective Comic Book Review

The official Fast and Furious 9 synopsis reveals that Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is trying to be all innocent and live the quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, Brian. However, events take place that forces Dom to come out of hiding and confront the sins of his past, his brother while trying to save his family. Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob played by John Cena is said to be the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver in the world.

Check out the trailer down below. Fast and Furious 9  was originally set to release in May 202 but was delayed due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. The film’s new release date is set for 25 June in the US and 8 July in the UK. Local release date pending.
