Square Enix just dropped a brand new trailer for the recently-delayed Final Fantasy VII Remake. It also marks the debut of the game’s theme song composed by Nobuo Uematsu and performed by Yosh Morita of Survive Said The Prophet with lyrics by Kazushige Nojima.

The trailer has some spectacular scenes including Cloud in full drag and marks the first time we are seeing Red XIII in the remake flesh. The Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer is all about the story too as it shows off some of the most memorable moments in the original game including some close encounters with Sephiroth.
Most important of all is the debut of Red XII which has not been seen in the remake as of yet. Those of you who have played the original game will remember him as a great ally in the fight against Sephiroth. The trailer then ends with a few seconds of explosive gameplay showing off exploration including vent crawling, summons and boss fights.

Square Enix also released the “making of” trailer showing off how the studio composed and created the Ending Theme which you can watch down below.
The first game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series will launch on PS5 on 10 April 2020. No other release platforms have been announced as of yet.
