The game features 28 playable heroes with a deep customization feature but most of all, it is both PvP and PvE featuring a dedicated single-player story mode.

According to Rampage Games, Genesis was built with controllers in mind and has built-in automation features such as innovative targeting and refined direction skills made especially for a controller.

Ray Zhu, Executive Producer at Rampage Games says the team really wanted to bring a true MOBA experience to consoles:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#FF0000″ class=”” size=””]“The biggest challenge, of course, was building the gameplay system for controllers. Keyboard and mouse have their advantages, but based on the feedback we received from our testers, I am confident we are equally prepared and players will feel right at home in GENESIS.”[/perfectpullquote]

Now we don’t want to say the heroes look similar to other ones found in games such as Smite and DOTA 2 but they kind of do. The 28 playable heroes range from tanks to archers and assassins to support. Zeus, Skelter, Nemo and much more. Check out the full hero roster on the official Genesis site.

The game is now available for free on PS4 so make sure you give it a go if you are looking for something new to play. Of course, there are limitations to what heroes you can play on what days as the free-to-play model sees you unlock heroes and cosmetics using currency earned either in-game or with real money.
