By now, most players know of Atreus’ role he still has to play in God of War Ragnarok. Revealed to be the Norse god of mischief, Loki, Atreus is a conflicted child who still wrestles with his heritage as a potential god. Kratos struggles to steer his son on the right path, though we will have to see how the dynamic of their relationship changes or grows in the next game.
God of War Ragnarok will be the last chapter of the Norse mythology saga. Of what we do know, Fimbulwinter (or “great winter”) is the immediate prelude to the events of Ragnarok, which the new video makes a point of highlighting a few times. It’s a great shift in seasons that brings about the end of all life on Midgard.
God of War Ragnarok is set to be an exciting epic that will bring the end to Kratos and Atreus’ storyline. Watch the video below to get you ready for the end of the world when the game releases on 9 November 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
