PlayStation has released a new promotional video for its upcoming exclusive, God of War Ragnarok, featuring the likes of Ben Stiller, John Travolta and LeBron James. The promo focuses on Stiller – appropriately dressed as Kratos – leading some kind of “support” group where spouses talk about their relationships with their children and the troubles of being attached to God of War. It’s very bizarre, but kind of endearing.
The latest promo video for God of War Ragnarok is titled “All Parents Can Relate” and features some surprise celebrity cameos mentioned above. PlayStation seems to be getting creative with its marketing for its next big release, bringing in big Hollywood names like Stiller and Travolta to shine a spotlight on the upcoming game. At one point, Travolta even mentions his resemblance to Kratos, which is uncanny to say the least.
MORE RAGNAROK – God of War Ragnarok Launch Trailer is Here and Spoiler-Free
The description provided under the new promotional video reads:
“What could real parents learn from the relationship between Kratos and Atreus? Whether you’re a famous celebrity or a troubled god, parenting is always a work in progress. Just ask parent support group leader, Ben Stiller, as he explains to LeBron James, John Travolta and their children how the father/son dynamic in God of War Ragnarök can inspire us all to become better parents – especially when wearing the Kratos costume.”
In case you missed some of the news, God of War Ragnarok will feature five difficulty options for players at launch as well as an armour transmog system that allows Kratos to wear different sets of armour for aesthetic purposes while keeping the stats of another piece of gear. Beware of spoilers, though, as the game leaked early via retailers prompting developer Santa Monica Studio to release a statement addressing the leaks.
God of War Ragnarok releases on 9 November 2022 for PS4 and PS5. Check out the latest promo video below.
