The latest character trailer for Warner Bros. Montreal and WB Games’ Gotham Knights showcases the last member of the group, Batgirl. While it’s short on any direct gameplay, we do get an idea of her various combat abilities and techniques, including an assortment of gadgets fitting of her style.
Batgirl is one of the four playable heroes in Gotham Knights next to Red Hood, Robin and Nightwing. The latest character trailer finally offers a glimpse of her in action, featuring stylish takedowns and fast, weighty melee.

Red Hood seemingly offers a tankier style of gameplay, with Robin and Nightwing focused on flexibility and mobility. Batgirl appears to hit a good middle-ground, allowing her to be quick and agile while also being capable of dishing out damage. It’s the all-purpose character that most players will probably gravitate towards.
Gotham Knights is fast approaching its October release date. While it was originally announced to come to PS4 and Xbox One, Warner Bros. Montreal changed this over the last few months. It will only launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S now (along with PC).
In related news, we got a massive info dump on Gotham Knights in June, revealing the game’s co-op features, the various skins and how gear will work, and some story details that hints at the Court of Owls being the central villains of the story. However, we’ll also see familiar Gotham foes like Mr. Freeze make an appearance.
The official description provided by DC on Batgirl’s trailer reads:
“Gotham City still has a Bat, and she’s going to make sure everyone knows it. Protecting people runs in her veins and will always be a part of who she is, no matter her identity. The people of Gotham need a symbol to believe in, and there’s no one better than Batgirl to be that symbol.”
