PSVR owners will be able to play the entire Hitman 3 and the trilogy in virtual reality later this month when Hitman III releases. IO Interactive released a trailer that shows off Agent 47 taking out his enemies from not only a first-person perspective but also entirely in VR.

If the video proves one thing, it is that users will be able to experience the full extent of Agent 47’s skills from a whole new perspective. Not only will players be able to use all the various deadly tools available but the VR mode also comes with its own cool-looking mechanics such as extending your arm out in a certain direction in order to shoot around a corner. Players can also tap someone on the shoulder to troll them before knocking them out.
Keep in mind that the Hitman 3 VR mode is not limited to just the upcoming game. If you own the first two games, Hitman 3 lets you pull all the locations from the two previous games into one game. This means players can experience the entire current Hitman trilogy in VR (or without it if you don’t want to).
IO Interactive has not shared any further details on other VR modes for PC yet. We don’t know if the developer plans on releasing a PC VR mode in the future. Perhaps there’s an agreement in place with Sony for exclusive VR rights?
If you don’t own a PSVR, you can still enjoy the full Hitman 3 when it releases on 20 January 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox, PC, Stadia and Nintendo Switch. Keep in mind that the Switch version is only playable via cloud streaming.
