New Necromunda: Hired Gun Trailer Showcases an Impressive World

Focus Home Entertainment just released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter Necromunda: Hired Gun. The new trailer touches on the game’s world while revealing a handful of people players will meet along the way. We also get a glimpse of what it will be like to play as the bounty hunter and take on contracts around the various locations.

The trailer details what players will know as Martyr’s End. A hub of factions and people where players will collect new contracts, meet other bounty hunters and get the lay of the land before heading out on a mission. Martyr’s End also acts as the game’s upgrade, loot and merchandise location where players can get new gear, upgrade their bionic augments and customize their character.

Think of Martyr’s End as a place to chill for a bit before you go out and wreak havoc on the world around you. Speaking of the world, if the new trailer does one thing it is showcasing an incredible planet. We know Necromunda: Hired Gun is set in the forge world where the Imperium of Mankind makes the weapons used across the wars in the series. So it is only natural that players will encounter the creatures and explore the lands filled with scrap, furnaces and metal works.

There’s a lot to take in here and you will probably want to watch this trailer a few times to see it all. From the massive cargo trains that connect the factories to the dark and dangerous tunnels that hold mutated machines ready for a fight. It definitely looks like it is going to be one hell of a ride. Of course, we also have the shooting and deadly takedowns that are combined with the fast-paced action to deliver some good-looking DOOM-esque gameplay.

Necromunda: Hired Gun is set to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC on 1 June 2021. Check out the trailer down below and find out more about the game in our previous coverage here.
