New Need For Speed Game to be Revealed in August

We’ve known since February this year that a new Need for Speed game is coming out in 2019 but mega-publisher EA has remained silent on any details about the upcoming title in the iconic racing game franchise. The game is expected to release between October and December this year and at the time of writing, we still don’t have any details, not even a full title. However, it looks like all will be revealed soon, in the “next two weeks” to be more exact.

During EA’s recent earnings call to investors, CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that heading into Gamescom 2019, the new Need for Speed title will be revealed.

Gamescom 2019 kicks off on 20 August, which means EA could even shed some details on the new Need for Speed game before then to build some hype for their new game, for example with a small teaser trailer or a hint about the name for the upcoming title. The EA Live Show is expected to be held at Gamescom 2019 on 20 August at 18:30 South African time, where we will likely see some gameplay for the new Need for Speed game.

The last game in the franchise was Payback and it released back in November 2017, so it is about time that EA reveals a new game if you ask me. Hopefully, it will be better than Payback, which didn’t get the best of receptions from critics.
