New Need For Speed Unbound Gameplay Leaks Online

Need For Speed Unbound releases this week but while the game’s launch is only on 2 December, loads of new gameplay videos have leaked online ahead of the launch date. This morning, two new gameplay videos were spotted on YouTube. One of them is only four minutes long but the other is a whole fifteen-minute video showcasing some new gameplay.

The four-minute video showcases some interesting police chases in the city. The player is seen racing through the streets in a VW Beetle trying to escape the cops. There’s also a bit of car tweaking to check out in the video too. The player is seen upgrading the vehicle by increasing the various tools and modifications available on it.

The longer video shows off even more customization. The player shows the different paint options available on the VW Beetle as well as how to apply decals to the side of the car. There are also a few street races to watch and some open-world exploration.

One thing to notice in both gameplay videos is how the comic book/street art effects tie into the game world and basically, everything around you. Even the main characters in the car seats look cartoony. The checkpoints and arrows on the road feature the same colourful design.

I especially enjoy how the smoke, sparks and skid marks from the vehicles all feature the same style. They really add some cool effects to the general visual approach in the game. While mostly everything looks realistic, the odd special effects create some cool uniqueness in the game.

Check out both videos below. Need for Speed Unbound is set to launch on 2 December for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
