LEGO put together quite a cool trailer (you can watch it down at the bottom) to announce the new sets. It features a narrated voice-over with Sonic The Hedgehog interrupting into the dialogue all the time.

This is not the first time LEGO and Sonic The Hedgehog have teamed up. Back in 2021, the company released the LEGO Ideas Sonic The Hedgehog Green Hills set. However, the set targeted kids and included a minifig Sonic and Eggman across a creative obstacle course stage.
The new range is a more mature, fully-fledged collection of LEGO sets that are seen as a sort of “glow-up” for the series. Even the Eggman figure is completely redesigned to feature more detail, blocks and more.

The new sets don’t have price tags yet but they will likely set you back quite a penny. We will keep you updated on the official South African launch plans for the set closer to August.
