New Splinter Cell Game Hinted at By Sam Fisher’s Voice Actor

It’s been over five years since we last had the pleasure of playing a Splinter Cell game and personally, Sam Fisher is one of my favourite characters to play with. There have been some rumours that the franchise would get a new entry, especially after an Easter Egg in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey pointed towards the return of Splinter Cell. Now, the Italian voice actor for Sam Fisher has posted an image (above) on his Facebook page that hints at a possible Splinter Cell game being in the works.

The image, as mentioned above, comes from the Italian language voice actor for Sam Fisher named Luca Ward. Mr Ward even made it his cover image for his Facebook profile but didn’t comment on what the image is all about. It seems pretty clear to me, however, as the image shows Mr Ward and three green dots signifying the Splinter Cell logo.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell universe, Sam Fisher uses goggles with the same look and Assassin’s the Third Echelon (the organization responsible for the Splinter Cell programme) and the Fourth Echelon (which Sam Fisher works for in Blacklist) was mentioned.

Although this is by no means a confirmation of a new Splinter Cell game, combined with the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey hint something could definitely be brewing. To be clear, Ubisoft has not officially announced anything just yet, but fans of the franchise are hoping that a new game is indeed in development. I, for one, think Sam Fisher’s next outing could be announced at E3 2019 and be a cross-platform title, with more hints coming in the near future.
