New Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Details Coming in December – Report

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an upcoming action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment and EA Games. It will serve as a direct sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and once again follow protagonist Cal Kestis. The sequel was revealed earlier this year with not much to go on beyond its reveal trailer, but it looks like that might change soon as EA is reportedly planning to showcase the game and offer new details this December.

The report (via Reddit) comes from journalist Jeff Grubb, who recently spoke on a podcast about when fans can expect to see more of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. According to Grubb, EA Games is planning to show the game in some form this December. This continues the publisher’s recent short but effective marketing campaigns as the title is expected to launch in March 2023.

According to developers, the plot of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will pick up five years after the events of Fallen Order. “Cal Must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy,” said Respawn Entertainment’s Stig Asmussen, who previously worked at Santa Monica Studio on the God of War series before joining Respawn to work on Fallen Order and Survivor.

The official Steam page description of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor reads:

“Developed by the veteran team at Respawn Entertainment, Jedi: Survivor will expand upon iconic Star Wars stories, worlds, and characters, and thrilling combat first experienced in Jedi: Fallen Order. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is being built for the current generation of gaming hardware to create a deeper and more expansive Star Wars experience for players worldwide when the game launches in 2023.”

EA is planning to launch Need for Speed Unbound this December followed by the Dead Space remake next January.
