The next game from Arkane Lyon, the development studio behind Dishonored 2 and Deathloop, might reveal its next game at The Game Awards this week. According to a new rumour, the company is gearing up for a big announcement at this year’s show and fans speculate that it could either be a new IP or the long-awaited Dishonored 3.
The rumour originates from leaker Nate The Hate who has a decent track record of accurate industry leaks. According to Nate, Arkane Lyon will announce its next game at The Game Awards. They didn’t elaborate much on the initial leak other than saying, “I’ve been told that Arkane’s next game will be announced at TGA.”

This lines up with Xbox’s previous statement in which company, which owns Arkane and publishing house Bethesda Softworks, said to expect “important announcements” at The Game Awards. Fans initially speculated that this could be related to an announcement of several Activision Blizzard games arriving on Xbox Game Pass after Microsoft acquired the publisher for $69 billion, though it looks like we might have a few unexpected reveals to look forward to as well.
Dishonored 3 seems to be the most speculated reveal of the show. Arkane Lyon’s last game, Deathloop, was a critical hit but the studio as a whole is still recovering from the underwhelming release of this year’s vampire-slaying action game, Redfall. Dishonored 2 was released back in 2016 so a follow-up is long overdue.
In related news, Wolfenstein 3 has been hinted at a couple of times this year through job listings. Developer MachineGames, which is also owned by Xbox under publisher Bethesda, is believed to be working on the next Wolfenstein game alongside a new single-player Indiana Jones game. It’s unclear if this is also in the pipeline for The Game Awards but we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
The Game Awards takes place on 7 December. Have a look at the full nominees.
