Next Battlefield Will Be Fully Revealed This Summer – Release by March 2026

Electronic Arts has confirmed that the next Battlefield game, potentially Battlefield 6, will be fully revealed within the next few months, putting its announcement somewhere in the summer season. EA also revealed that it plans to launch the game before the end of March 2026 when its next fiscal year rolls around.

Speaking during its latest earnings call, EA revealed that developer DICE has been running playtests for the next Battlefield game for several months at this point. A full reveal of the game is expected to happen within the next few months, which will be summer. Fans suspect that the game will be unveiled at one of the major gaming showcases that often take place in June, either at the Xbox Games Showcase or Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest.

EA also revealed that it plans to launch the game before the end of March 2026, giving us a wide release window to work with. Historically speaking, most Battlefield games launched within the October-December window, so it’s fair to say that this might be on the table for EA.

Thanks to leaks and reports in the last year, we have some potential details about the new Battlefield project. A rumour from September last year claimed that the upcoming Battlefield game will launch with 45 weapons (significantly more than Battlefield 2042) and 10 multiplayer maps. Some leaked concept art surfaced online last year too, showing a modern setting for the new title.

It’s unclear what shape the next game will take, though EA seems to be set on keeping it a live-service title. EA CEO Andrew Wilson previously claimed that the next Battlefield would be developed by “the largest Battlefield team in franchise history” and added that it would be another tremendous live-service”. Battlefield 2042 launched as an evolving live-service game in the series, though without a compelling single-player campaign and a lack of content, it failed to generate positive interest. Second time’s the charm, I guess.
