The next movie from acclaimed Interstellar and Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan has added Tom Holland to its cast alongside Matt Damon. According to a new report, the movie will apparently be a vampire horror set in the 1920s, marking Nolan’s first outing into the horror genre. The untitled movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on 26 July 2026.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Holland has joined Christopher Nolan’s next movie. So far, the cast only includes Matt Damon but it will likely grow as more casting announcements are made over the next few months.
According to a “reliable source” close to Gizmodo, the movie will be a 1920s vampire horror, which is quite interesting as Nolan has never tackled the supernatural or the horror genre before (unless you count the pseudo-science of The Prestige or mind heists of Inception as supernatural). The director has always gathered large ensembles of actors and it will be exciting to see who joins the cast list next.
This will also mark the first time that Tom Holland has worked with Christopher Nolan. Matt Damon, on the other hand, appeared in both Interstellar and Oppenheimer.
Beyond that, we know very little about Nolan’s next movie. We’ll just have to wait for more information to become available leading up the anticipated movie’s release. It seems like more eyes are on the project now that it might possibly be a vampiric period piece horror.
On that note, Oppenheimer is currently streaming on Showmax in case you missed the Oscar-winning flick last year. Its description reads:
“A dramatization of the life story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist who had a large hand in the development of the atomic bomb, thus helping end World War 2. We see his life from university days all the way to post-WW2, where his fame saw him embroiled in political machinations.”
