The ZenGrip 2 is the first available Switch 2 attachment that you can pre-order without even knowing what Nintendo’s next-gen console looks like. The brand has listed the ZenGrip 2 as a product “made for the next-gen console”. The marketing boasts that users who pre-order the device will have it “in hand for the next-gen launch”.
Of course, there’s no release date for this accessory, so don’t expect it to unveil any information that we don’t already know. The marketing material has used a “TOP SECRET” block to depict where the Switch 2 would slide into the grip. It boasts advanced floating design and full port accessibility.
This is the second accessory we have seen for Nintendo’s unannounced Switch 2 device in the past week. We recently covered leaks of a screen protector and carry case for the device too. Both revealed a larger unit with a bigger display, added curved trigger support, and a paddle button.
Before that, another leak supposedly detailed the Switch 2’s new Joy-Con. The video was a poorly filmed look at the Joy-Con. It showed off the rounder edges of the controller as well as the curved trigger and new paddle.
The Switch 2 is Nintendo’s worst-kept secret at this stage. Reports claim Nintendo will only announce the new Switch in January ahead of its rumoured March launch. Some reports claim that the console’s launch is actually only scheduled for June. So at this rate, we have no idea when we’ll get to see the product.
