Silent Hill F Silent Hill 2 Remake

Next Silent Hill Transmission Event Announced For 30 May

Konami has announced the next Silent Hill transmission event for Thursday, 30 May which includes a new look at the upcoming live-action movie Return to Silent Hill as well as updates on future games. The news was announced on Twitter/X though it didn’t give us much to work on other than the event date and time so we’ll have to wait and see what’s in store for fans.

“Consider this your invitation letter to Silent Hill,” said the social media post. “Tune in May 30 at 4 p.m. PDT to our Silent Hill YouTube channel for the second installment of the #SILENTHILL Transmission where we’ll share game updates, a deeper look at the film, and new merch.”

Return to Silent Hill will be directed by Christophe Gans who previously directed 2006’s fan-favourite movie adaptation. This time, Return to Silent Hill will be a more straight-forward adaptation of the Silent Hill 2 video game.

On that note, Bloober Team, the developer behind the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake, also reposted the announcement essentially confirming that we’ll see more of the remake at the event, hopefully with a release date and a closer look at more gameplay.

Beyond that, there are still a couple of Silent Hill projects that we haven’t heard about since their reveal during the last Transmission. We know that Silent Hill: Townfall is in development at Annapurna Interactive and developer No Code, which is intended to be the start of an anthology series. Silent Hill F is also in the works from developer NeoBards Entertainment and writer Ryukishi07, the author behind the Higurashi When They Cry series.

Tune into the next Silent Hill Transmission on 30 May at 4PM PDT / 1AM CAT (31 May).
